that's now a couple of years out of date as the deadline for getting the chips changed was 31 October 2012, still worth getting your vet to check they are still working though on your next visit, mine does it on most visits anyway but at least once a year at vaccination time

council dog collection places are still finding dogs that have been chipped and the chip does not read
