I cannae stand football .....and I know sod all about it despite my dad's best efforts to force feed me it most of my childhood.

Couldn't get the cartoons on the telly if there was any kind of sport on...

But I have noticed one thing

Scotland never think they're going to win

I watched England play 20 minutes of football only.

All those that say they are a young team, yes they are, they are also professional football players within top teams earning eye watering amounts every week. Being young players I would have expected more running with the ball and not keep passing and playing backwards.

This wasn't the only match they kept playing back. They did well to get to the semi's they just did not play well.

It doesn't make too much working out that kick it the wrong way you are not very likely to score

I find it amazing how much hatred there is for England by our UK cousins and find it sad, friendly rivalry I get but I have always supported the Home Nations above other Nations in Sport but given the vitriol I have seen today across social media I will not bother in future.

As an aside I am afraid that I don't really share with the exuberance shown toward out team, whilst I am pleased with how far they have gone and the future could be extremely bright particularly with the youth successes over the past 12 months (2 world cups and a European Title) I was not overly impressed by most of our performances.

Whilst we started well last night we ran out of legs in the second half and our threat in open play was poor (as it has been in the other games), second half we were clueless and Gareth had no plan B to deal with Croatia. I personally think that Kane, Ali, Walker, Sterling, Young and Vardy have been average at best and we were lucky that we had a weak pool group (bar Belgium) otherwise it could have been very different.

Just my personal opinion.
