Checked and I was correct they are on/just above the front crash bar.

Thanks for that Andy, good info.

I assume then that is what the front tow hook bolts into when one needs to be towed out

Yes. When you replace them there is a big difference in quality depending on who you buy from, and that’s worth thinking about if you think you may need to be recovered. You can see the extra hole on the pic I posted above.

I have not tried using the foot apertures as yet, but it would mean when using these foot apertures one must now lean over the bonnet to get to the screen. Is that any advantage over using a step to get onto either wheel??

I have recently purchased a very long extendable mop that I have only used once. This done the screen with me standing in front, also the rear, from top to middle where I could easily reach. Why have used it the one time, let's face it the weather has been appalling.

I don't want to damage the paint finish on the front bumper so I will give the foot aperture a miss, thanks.

I use a telescopic squeegee with sponge to clean the whole windscreen, which I can reach standing on the ground. I also use a bit of screenwash in the bottom of a bucket. It also fits nicely in the gas locker. This one is similar to mine:

Trevor, I have one of those I find it works okay to a point, the mop I have bought from Amazon seems to do a much better job. I suppose because it is a microfibre type of mop head it does the job.

Speedy, I agree, neither do I want to damage the paint, plus the better half (her words not mine:p) would be non too pleased. But fitting grips inside would help deter that, and please her indoors (perhaps:coolest:)

The kit I bought was "MATCC Car Wash Brush with Aluminium Long Handle Car Cleaning Washing Brush", from Amazon.
