Today we saw an iwat bike in a LeClerc for €695. We could be quite interested. It looked just what we're looking for.
Does anyone have one or know of them?
I dont know about the iwat...
But have a look at the Decathlon Tilt 500 electric at about £699. We have had a pair for nearly s year and they have performed great tackled the hill at St Jean de Luz without any problems..all the spares are available and decathlon are all over Europe. They have 20 inch wheels and fit in my half garage great

We have two of these that are as new, we are currently in Spain but returning to UK in April and wish to sell them. They are quite brilliant,Aluminum so light and purchased from Decathlon the benefit being if you have a problem there’s always going to be a Decathlon store not far away all over Europe. PM if interested. Apologies if I have not posted in correct section.

Actually I've just looked at the price of your outfit and, saying this quite lightly as I've been looking at ebike prices for a while now and don't wince as much as I used to, for such a strong brand I think the price is very competitive.

Mind you it's still more than I paid for our first 'van! ?

I bought an electric Brompton 6 speed last March and wouldn’t be without it now.It is a fantastic piece
of kit (and so it should be for the price).

We have 2 Raleigh Stow e way bikes. Really pleased with them re quality and price (10% discount from Raleigh with CMC code) not sure on range as we’ve never managed to go that far! Heavy to lift onto a rack but ok for a garage. Insured on house policy.

Thanks for that cmc code mention for Rakeigh. Since reading about the bromptons and nano kits my latest idea was to go buy 2 (kosher) used bromptons from ebay then nano them ... snag is I see the nano kits cost more than a complete decathlon folder!

We have had 2 Bromptons since 2005. I electrified one with a nano motor and in due course the wife got a full size Raleigh with a Bosch mid drive. I must confess I now wouldn't get another electric bike without a torque sensor (Brompton nano hasn't, Bosch has).

It depends what your requirements are. As stated previously we have Roodog Bliss electric fold ups which travel nicely in motorhome garage and are very pleased with them as they are perfect for cycling to the supermarket or to do sightseeing which meet our criteria very well. No good if you are into serious road cycling or mountain biking.

What is the advantage of having a torque sensor?

Is a torque sensor the same as a cadence sensor?

We have 2 folding Wisper ebikes - great, although in practice I wish we hadn’t gone for folding! There’s room in the garage for them assembled, so I leave them like that.
we have two as well, though they go in the garage with just the handlebars folded down parallel to the frame.
