Noted that the Flyingscotsmans took a trip in Austria via Grosslocher pass. Just wondering about did you pay tolls and what route did you take. Or if any one has any other experiences that might help?

Hi @Timbow the toll payment will be weight specific I think so if you post your van weight others will come back and help you I am sure.

It's worth it for the views. I went over it years ago and if we are ever in that part of Europe again I would make a diversion to go over it again!

But, i would avoid the high season and probably weekends as well. It was busy when I went over and that was 50 years ago!!!

I believe the toll includes access to tourist areas, parking plus other goodies so at £35ish might actually be good value.

Thanks again, but I think we might follow the toll free route as suggested in Austria route thread. After further research this route looks as if it will fit in better with our proposed plans. Many thanks for everybodies help and advice.

Apologies, I think I may have got this wrong :(

Motorhomes, even in excess of 3500Kg are still 41 Euros not 107 Euros as first posted.
