hi cord on the fly screen snapped I've got a 2013 swift lifestyle 622 the frame size is the width of 61.5 cm height of 190.5 cm
can the cord be replaced if yes

some advice on removing the frame so I can actually see where the cord goes, or where I will be able to buy a replacement screen and frame, please

A new screen & frame will be a few hundred quid.
It's an easy repair take the frame out and lay on a flat surface you can then get the idea of how the cords work.
Use kelva kite line for the replacement then they won't break again.

hi thanks I'm going to give that ago

i have looked at getting the frame out but can't see any screws holding it in place do you know if there clipped in somehow dont want to break it by forcing it

Here's the article on repairing the Hartal/Horrex door flyscreen, and a link that may be useful on replacing the cords from the Horrex website.

I re-strung our cords with 1mm kevlar kite string.

Kevlar will be low stretch but best to prestretch before using. This will minimise any stretch when in use. I used to fly high performance stunt kites and used a lot of low stretch lines (Spectra).

What breaking strength cord do you recommend and what length of cord is required?

I bought and use a 200lbs (90kg) breaking strain kevlar kite cord from Amazon. It comes with 31 metres on a reel which will restring 3 hab door flyscreens.
Here's a link to the cord that I bought.
