Up, up and away – with Keycamp Holidays
19 December 2007

Keycamp is set to bring the realms of Swallows & Amazons and Boy’s Own tales to life with the launch of its exciting new tree house holiday accommodation available for 2008 across three of its most popular campsites in France.

Sure to satisfy the most adventure families and couples, the tree houses make for a true back to nature experience, while offering more than a smattering of home comforts to ensure a restful stay.

Each tree house has been cleverly constructed around the trunk and is accessed via a spiral staircase which leads magically into the forest canopy. The thatched-roofed living accommodation offers two sleeping areas, with one double and four single beds, plus a large decked terrace with table and chairs. A fully-equipped Frontier Tent with all kitchen facilities is provided on the ground for cooking and, should the occasional night on terra-firma be preferred, it also has beds.

The tree houses can be found at La Croix du Vieux Pont in Berny Riviere, a ninety minute drive from Paris, and the Breton sites of La Grande Métairie at Carnac and Château des Ormes, at Dol-de-Bretagne.

A five night tree house stay in May at La Croix du Vieux Pont for a family of two adults and up to four children starts from £449, including midweek Dover-Calais ferry crossings.

The excitement of the tree house, the proximity of Disneyland Resort Paris and facilities, such as a superb waterpark, make the site the stuff of dreams for children; while mum and dad will appreciate the spa and beauty centre, the Jacuzzi, the fishing and of course, Keycamp’s Fun Station kids’ club to keep the children entertained.

Also new for 2008 is Keycamp’s very first non-European destination, Florida. Four sites have been carefully selected to allow customers to explore all aspects of the sunshine state from the awe-inspiring beauty of the Everglades to the individuality of Key West, with its Caribbean influences, and the thrills and spills of Disneyworld.

Accommodation ranges from kabins through to lodges with lofts and luxurious mobile homes with jacuzzis. Prices per party per night start at £44 for kabin accommodation, including car hire charges.

In another exciting departure, customers can opt to take to the open road with a Florida motor home holiday. Providing all home-comforts including a lounge area, cooking and refrigeration facilities, toilets and showers, the deluxe RVs start at £103 per night and allow families the ultimate freedom to explore Florida at their own pace.

Back in Europe, a hand-picked selection of holiday villages and apartments in France, Spain and Italy has been introduced to complement Keycamp’s campsites. The 35 resorts offer an excellent range of facilities, while many also provide children’s clubs and activities.

And finally, ten new sites have been added, with Keycamp offering holidays to Sicily for the first time with El Bahia, a new site in San Vito Lo Capo.
