Flexible solar panel mounting (1 Viewer)

Hi. I already have one fixed frame solar panel and have been gifted a second, but flexible panel of similar size and capacity.
The first I used the strong plastic corner mounts screwed to panel and glued to roof. What is recommended for semi flexible panels that don't have the metal frame?

These? (Or should I get a frame to allow air flow underneath?)

Also parallel or series connection?
I will only have a total of 200watts.

I have 1 rigid 130w panel and added 2 semi flex 100w panels using the brackets similar to above. It does allow for a certain amount of air flow. I stuck the brackets to the roof with sikaflex. They have lasted 4 years and are still working. I wired mine in parallel. Just make sure your controller can handle the input.

Hi which Sikaflex did you use please, I have a plastic panel come loose that contains reversing camera and brake light that was fixed with silicone.

I used Sikaflex EBT Make sure the area is clean prior to fixing. The brackets are still stuck after 4 years.
I purchased from Screwfix but is available at other stores.

If you go to Screwfix, try a tube of white CT1. Pretty much the same as Sikaflex but it lasts a damn site longer after you've opened the tube. The Sikaflex I've used in the past when I only needed a quarter of the tube or less, went hard after only a month and I had to bin it. The CT1 I had for over a year and it was still useable with a new nozzle.

stixall from tool station is good as well buy white or black the clear for some reason is runny by comparison
the only use on a van for silicon is round the basin and sink its a sealant not an adhesive and very acidic

I agree, can’t understand why Chausson have used silicon mastic to stick this down, no wonder it blew off. It’s only two and a half years old, I was lucky not to lose it completely.

Question re solar panels. I am thinking about going down the solar route but and it’s a big but. I really don’t want to drill any holes in the roof. Motorhomes have enough damp problems without putting holes in the roof. Is there a way of fitting solar without drilling any holes in the bodywork?

I have two 125 watt panels that are pretty big. Both have six 'L' shaped brackets stuck down with sikaflex and have never moved in over three years. The only hole in the roof is for the cable and that has the proper waterproof cover over it. Completely leak free.
