Hi,

Could someone please enlighten me ?
As I drive my Bus Service through Barley Lands Visitors Centre, Essex, when there’s an event on in their fields I sometimes see Motorhomes grouped together and quite a few are flying Flags, Banners etc ..... what does this mean ?

Thanks.

U may have noticed that a lot of those vehicles are white and look very similar.
driving your bus in a sober condition u could easily tell the difference between them but imagine stumbling along in a slightly inebriated state and trying to find the one that belongs to u.
I am not suggesting for one moment that motorhomers are inclined to drink to excess or even at all! It's just a theory on why they feel the need to fly flags to differentiate their temporary home.
Unfortunately this theory fails at a motorhomefun gathering where they all fly the same flag. Must be something to do with genetics or the tribal instinct.

The ones to be really concerned about are those who string lights all around their van and flagpoles. They are just showing off their big battery.

I do it because my wife tell's me to..

When we first started to take the grandkid's we flew a pink pig, this was used as an aid to help them find their way back to our van.. (y)

I now fly a West bromwich Albion flag. Keep's the riff raff away.. :D and Wolves supporters ;)

Also been told that some funsters arrive at a rally, see the flag and then ask to be parked at the opposite end of the field.
