Tried to use my Fix&Go as a compressor on a car (aware they probably aren’t the best on Motorhomes and a spare is the real answer) but was curious how it performed. Anyway the plug connector it came fits no 12V in car or indeed Motorhome (Chausson)….

It’s too big (diameter). So if it had have come to using it in anger its fairly useless.

Anyone know the reason why FIAT/Chausson would supply a plug that’s too big?

Think there might be two sizes of 12V but not completely clear….

Any feedback would be interesting.

Weird, mine fits any cigarette socket?

It’s like a couple of mm too wide in dia….just bizarre imo. Why supply a last resort device that won’t fit any of the sockets. Just random.

Something is wrong somewhere, is there 2 sockets in the dash? Have you tried them both?

I tried a standard uk car cigarette port first…I was trying the compressor out on a car. Then I assumed the van ports were bigger…but no. Very strange.

Does the plug on the compressor have a red bit on it…? If so pull it of and it’ll fit..

Eairler ones were on top tolerance of the DIN specification and don't fit lot of car sockets. The one supplied with my 2014 was like that, the one with my 2017 was fine.
I looked up the spec they are both within tolerance which seems a bit odd.

Ours doesn't fit the factory fit dash sockets but it fits the ones in the hab area

So the back end (female) is larger dia than the male. I saw a previous post so I’ll try this….very random…thanks for the feedback all. Just makes me laugh that they provide a device that doesn’t fit….hilarious.

Right apologies, it DOES fit the front main cig (180w)….i thought I’d tried it in there!

So the two habitation 12v are hella type.

Thanks for the advice all!
