Were looking at a 2018 Fiat based Chausson which only has a single leisure battery fitted under the passenger seat , does anybody know if the recess under the seat can accommodate a second battery

Dealers usually give the option to fit a second leisure battery, you could ask the dealer if this is an option and if it is, where do they fit it.
Our new Ducato based Burstner came with one 95 ah AGM leisure battery under the passenger seat. I successfully fitted a pair of Varta LFD90 batteries in the same place. The Varta batteries were the same size as the original. The only problem I had was not being able to use the steel bracket holding down the original battery, they are now secured with webbing straps.

My van (2018 Fiat) came with one Varta 95a/h under the pax seat, it was simply a matter of removing the seat and fitting the new battery in front of the other one. The metal battery bracket even had a 'step' to accommodate the 2nd battery. I had a pair of connecting cables made at a local motor factor for a tenner. Hardest part was removing the seat!

Our 2012 Bailey 620 (Peugeot Boxer based) has one leisure battery under the passenger's bed. No room there for a second leisure battery. Would love a second leisure battery. Emailed Bailey to ask if it's possible but got no reply. Anyone know if it's possible?
Hope I'm not hijacking thread.

Ive got the ford base chausson and managed a second battery under the passanger seat...
As mentioned in a post above the battery securing plate required altering to secure the 2 batteries..

Have a look at the chassis section —-+ ford.

Pictures of a funsterbdoing this. They put the 2 batteries across the vehicle, not running front to back as mine is.
Allaccounts say the seat is a heavy lift!
