I have a Garmin vivoactive, but I don't like it much. I'm thinking of getting a Tag connected which maybe ridiculous but I do like nice watches.

I have got one. The most steps I have done is about 11000.

Mine isn't syncing very well at the moment though with the app and there was a day last week when apparently I didn't do any steps, go to bed or walk up any stairs:doh:

Got one, love, best steps were 25,000in a day, rarely below 10,000. Good for calories burned also sleep pattern not so good for recording calories used on outside bike. Can be linked to the iPhone Health app via third party app myfittnessapp

I have a Microsoft band and my partner has a fit bit. I have tested them by wearing one on each wrist, they give very similar results.
My band plots my root which makes it a bit more interesting with maps stress levels and speed etc. recorded but overall I don't do enough steps each day.
My next will be one of these a Samsung, they are incredible bits of kit and look really classy with interchangeable straps and fully digital face..(y)

I have Fitbit. I try to make all 4 circles green by the end of the day, which often means going up and down stairs a few times before bed!

Interestingly, I have noticed that driving the Moho ( but not being a passenger) adds about 500 steps for every 100 miles driven. By my reckoning that makes each step around 352yards. Don't remember being that good at the long jump at school!

I like the sleep pattern function. When Mrs Chrysalis asks me how I slept, I often say, I don't know until I've checked my Fitbit! However I do find that wearing it at night tends to give me a more disturbed night, from the screen flashing on when I move my arm.

Best so far 45,000 steps in one day, about 14 miles.
I think you are underestimating, with average stride that's closer to 18 miles (women) or 20 miles (men). You can put your own stride length in settings

Got one just over a year ago, and found it and the app very useful when I was trying (successfully) to lose weight using the 5:2 diet .

Gets addictive even down to competitive resting heart rate with Swmbo (my normal average is 59 but can be 55) .

I also was a bit hacked off with how useless modern shoes are as they never seem to last long. Probably have to change my main pair of shoes every 9 months. But it turns out according to FB in the past 12 months I've walked over 3,200 km so I reckon I get 2,000km out of a pair. So looking at it that way as opposed to "but I've only had them 5 minutes" they don't do bad.

Who ever thought I'd end up posting about shoe tread wear mileage on a MH forum  what has happened to me!

I did over 33000 steps earlier in the year, and didn't go more than 30 yards from the house.
The vivoactive (garmin) counted the arm movements washing and waxing the mo ho!

How would I know whether it is entirely accurate or broken, as the readings would be the same in my case?

I have a basic Fitbit One that I was given by a very competitive friend for my 50th birthday. To be honest, I can't be bothered with it most of the time! I wear it from habit (it's attached to my bra) and Ron reckons it doesn't so much measure steps as my boobs bouncing up and down! Only time I wish I had it on was on Saturday at an event in Cardiff when I must have walked about 100 miles and 100's of flights of stairs. Bloody thing had a flat battery!
