i have noticed on the Linton lock fishing meet thread there is mention of salmon in the river.

now, if you have a £26 licence it excludes the catching of salmon and migratory trout.

as you have very little control as to what type of fish takes your bait what is the situation if you hook a salmon or sea trout and the water bailiff is stood behind you ?

technically you arent licenced to catch salmon or sea trout.

I think the bailiff might have to prove you caught it on purpose. Or you’re just lucky I guess
