Hello I'm new to all this motorhome camping stuff, but I'm looking at using a motohome for a week and I'm hoping to go to a lake somewhere in scotland that I can park on the edge and step out the MH and sit and fish and let my dog run around and not worry about any other campers. Not a campsite but more wild. Does anyone have any info on where to go in Scotland and what stuff I may need to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

Try by loch Ken.

Campsite on the edge of the loch and by plenty of coarse fish, big pike and trout

I think there’s a CL in Dumfriesshire you may like. Not sure about ‘wild’ though

If you're in the area (Cumbernauld) Magiscroft is a good fishery with 5 or 6 well-stocked wee lochs. The site in Aboyne, Royal Deeside, is right on the Loch. Mainly pike/perch. Good course fishing is thin on the ground in Scotland. Plenty of game fishing and good sea fishing but not a lot of choice for course fishing other than pot luck on the vast Lochs.
