Hi first trip to this page and first long trip to the UK We are coming over from France with our new Hymer exisis I and wanted to know if I will need some sort of adaptor to connect my French electric cable to the hookups on UK campsites if I need something what is it called please so i can try and order it online thanks

Yes you will need the adapter .

Hi, as already mentioned the standard blue three pin plug is used here and I think you will already have one with your motorhome (camping car).

No he won't, adaptor would need to have a female Schuko socket

Living in France you would need exactly the same adapter as you will need for UK as many French sites and Aires also use the 16amp blue commando socket as here.

Yes I think it is as the electric sockets can be different in the UK we use it it France.

That I posted is to connect a FRENCH lead with 2 pin euroconnector/schuko to a 16 amp commando as used in UK and also large parts of europe as well as the native euro sockets.

Could do with you confirming or providing a picture of the lead you have

Thanks to you all you are sooooooooo patient and I am happy now I know I can hook up on our way up to Scotland to a family wedding and a 2 week stop off at Troutbeck near Penrith
