After our 8 months locked down in France, we are taking our first outing in the van since we arrived home in September.
We have arrived at our host's lovely site at Sutton on Sea, near Mablethorpe, Lincs. We had heavy rain in York and almost all the way until approaching Mablethorpe. Then it stopped raining and we had a lovely autumn sun break through. After parking up in one of the hard standings, we met Jim and his missus (we presume).
There are 3 other mohomes well spaced.
Just back from a brisk walk to the sea front. Charming cabins on the lovely esplanade and apart from a few dog walkers, noone's about. Going to be a restful three nights and a great release from the Covid restrictions.
Can highly recommend Jasmin and there's a discount for Funsters. Tomorrow, fish and chips at Waldo's. We thought it was closed until Friday but they're open for takeaway. Happy Days!

I agree, lovely site. We left yesterday after spending 2 nights there.
I was intrigued by the beach huts at Sutton-on-sea with roofs made out of old RAF Nissen huts!

Thanks Jim

If you like a 5 mile walk then take the bus into Mablethorpe and walk back to Jim’s.
We walked there and back, weren't at Jim's though. Enjoyed a few beers on sutton on sea front, think it is called the beach bar, SD there was good as was the beer.
have been to Jasmin once lovely site, hope to get back in the future.

Can second the beach bar, looked a bit shabby from the outside when we were there a couple of years ago but well impressed on the inside, we had a Sunday roast and very good value.

Today was even nicer than yesterday. Did the walk to Sutton on Sea and back along the beach (just short of 5 miles). Blowy but not cold (despite my better half looking like Scott of the Antarctic).
Sutton is a lovely little town with everything one could want in a town i.e. little shops selling the daily requirements. Waldo's is no longer offering a sit-down service but we had some lovely chips (it was too soon after eating to have had one of each).
Now having a coffee back at the van. We think that, next time, we may bring our bikes as there are lots of tracks. One day left and, even if it rains all day tomorrow, we'll have a great stay.
