About to buy a used
Good morning fellow motorhomers,
We are booked onto a caravan club site for two nights this weekend. Do you have any tips for us please?

Many thanks Lynne x

Just enjoy it, they are all well equipped and any issue you have can be sorted.

Staff are always helpful too.

Which one are you going to? :-)

Lovely part of the Country.

The High Peak trail is worth checking out if you have bikes? Much quieter than the Tissington trail.

I can very clearly remember our fist strip ever out in our motorhome. A fe things didn't go right but it was all part of the learning curve and good fun anyway.
Any problems or questions please ask on here. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
Have a great time.

thank you. Unfortunately we aren't taking the bikes on this trip with having Skip with us. We are however intending to go to the Whitby area in July and WILL be taking the bikes as Skip will be in home boarding for the ten days x

Thank you. I am sure we will.
We are going to Ashbourne to coincide with a trip to Chatsworth gardens that we had previously booked x
Number one must do, is visit the chip shop in the market Square in Ashbourne.
Usually plenty room to park right outside it, when we were there about a month ago the parking meters weren't working either so free parking (y) (y)(y)(y)

If it's the first time using this van, check everything works as it should do. Take a notepad to write down anything that doesn't to get it sorted out by your dealer on your return home. Other than that, just enjoy!

We stayed last Saturday night on a site in Buxton after taking the moho in for a quotation. Parked up about 1400 did absolutely nothing just relaxed.

if at all possible, spend the night on your driveway first and treat it as though you were away. if you can do it for 24 hours then even better. you will soon realise what 'additional' things you might need - but most of all dont panic or worry about anything and just make a note of anything you might not have with you (instead of 'forgotten' LOL)

Another electric thing - CAMC bollards often require you to twist the connector clockwise then press the red button to disconnect. It catches quite a few people out!

Have fun :)

Yep, took me a while to get some power out of the bollard first time. Not that I needed any. But it was there and I'd already had to pay for it, so I was going to use it!

I have a question. What's a fist strip, and are you allowed to do them on caravan club sites?
