I’ve been grounded for 3 weeks waiting for the puppy injections to kick in.
First 5 mile trip to Heligan lost gardens.

Sorted out the travel crate but it’s not going to last long, ok for a 12 week old puppy but not a 6 month old Labrador!

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Utterly adorable & no doubt taking to the motorhome like a duck to water.

Thanks for posting.

Buy a puppy and meet your next friend! We were stopped so many times and pup was good a gold. She was so pleased to meet everyone and gave everybody a lovely lick!

Not like my hands, they are shredded with teeth marks!! Puppies teeth are so sharp! I wonder why nature made them like this!

She’s just gorgeous. Buy her a buffalo horn to chew. They are fibrous, yak chews are good too. Plus Anco Root. All great for diverting* teeth from hands to chews!

Great to hear that she is meeting everyone. Getting her socialised is one of the main ways to ensure she is no problem when meeting new people.

We have a “lady” in our area with a puppy. When walking it, if she sees someone approaching, she picks it up and carries it. One neurotic dog coming soon.

Gorgeous looking pup. They really take to motorhoming. Our Welsh Terrier was a handful but became quite settled in the motorhome. We had to take the table out to get his crate in but it wasn't long before we could take it back out and let him have the run of the van. He's now 3 years of age and has visited about 10 countries.

View attachment 296861 What a lovely pup you have. Being happy in a Motorhome stays with them as they grow (7.5 now) and as you can see they remain alert and on guard. My sole companion and I wouldn’t be without her

Lovely golden lab!
Got any suggestions how to travel the labrador when she is 6 months old?
She will soon outgrow the crate.
I thought of a harness and strap her to the seat belt and leave her under the table. The only problem is she will eat the seat belt, chew through the table and demolish the travelling seats!

I have thought of buying an enormous crate and travel her in the rear lounge area where it will fit. Possibly, the table drops down to make a bed and I could put a large crate on top of the dinette bed.

I know things will be easier when she grows out of the chew and bite stage but for now, im not sure what to do next!

I think we were really lucky in that Poppy, unusually, didn’t chew anything but food. As for travelling I have a long section of MDF, hinged in two parts for stowage, that drops in between the back of cab seats and the ends of settees in the lounge and she just curls up on the floor until I get somewhere. There are those who will disagree but I consider that to be sufficiently restrained to travel safely for us both. First long journey was at 6 months old to Norway and subsequently various parts of France, Spain and UK without any problem including staying in the van for cross channel ferry journeys. It’s just me and her now and this suits us both. I’m sure you’ll find a way that suits both you Bella. Good luck and happy travelling

This is so good to hear about dogs loving travelling, I fell in love with a rescue dog in Cyprus last month, she had been in a Pound for a year, we are waiting for her to fly into Bristol later this month, I was so worried that she might not like travelling but seeing all your dogs has stopped me worrying so much.
