Hi all,

Just joined this site as we are thinking of buying a Roller Team Zefiro motorhome. We are looking at a new one and would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions people may have.

We are wondering if the winter pack is worthwhile and also security, especially as it is on a Ford Transit base with the Tibbe locks. It comes with the drivers pack which is Bluetooth, passenger airbag??, radio controls on the steering wheel, cab aircon, it also has a solar panel and leisure battery as standard. Do we need to add anything else to the factory spec?

We are considering a Strikeback alarm and also Gaslow. We also have mobile wifi via Three, its a bit patchy, are we better using an alternative supplier?

Thanks in anticipation of your advice, hopefully this will put us and our pets on the road to some great holidays and weekends on the road!

Hello and welcome to the fun. Exciting times. Why have you decided on that particular motorhome?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. To answer Jim's question, we have looked at a number of brands, Swift, Bailey, Chaussons, Burstner, Elddis, to name a few and feel that the Roller Team has the layout we need and also the additional packs which gives us the extras we would look for. We did also like the Chaussons but felt that the additional £10k+ would be a stretch.

Our last van was an Auto Roller 100 with fixed bed, we owned it for 3 years and couldn't fault it.
We upgraded in 2014 to a Auto Sleeper Broadway and we have had quite a few faults on this.

We have a rollerteam. Recommend strike back alarm but the best option I quoted was gas and electric heating for the van. Can't remember the cost £500 I think but best thing I got. Hardly use any gas when on sites

Welcome. (y)

Nice choice if you usually go flat out, but not much habitation room. :( Very warm in winter though. (y)
