Total garage in Cahors. 'Pas pour le camping car Monsieur!'

Never happened before in France.

I noticed a few signs with a similar message in Tours as I was filling up my refillable bottles.

I carry a photo of my underslung tanks, if questioned I show them the picture alway fine then

Travelling across europe,& indeed in the UK,I have never had anyone even offer to do my filling? In fact here in spain the glp pumps are so far from anywhere usually you have to ask where they are:giggle:

Hi Skez
Apart from the gas saga, how is it going in “The Lot” ?
We are just upstream of Cahors at Bouzies.
Heading to Luzech - Caix tomorrow.
Neil and Sally.

I got asked on a French Peagé, I just said for the engine, he just shrugged his shoulders and turned the pump on, he knew I was fibbing but had followed his instructions to ask I guess. I have an external filler so my fib was plausible. In Spain a guy came out and filled it for me after I accidentally pressed the stop button instead of the fill button.

No not required and as usually travelling when engine on airflow cools the exhaust

Don’t know the names of the service stations, but not had any problems at, at least four lpg fill-ups this year in France, one this morning. It seems most pumps now seem to be unattended and just go to the cash desk once dispensed (mainly autoroutes).

I've only ever been refused once and that was in Greece, guy said it was not for cooking etc only propulsion. Daft thing is there were 3 garages in a row all selling lpg the next one gave me it no probs and was actually 2p a litre cheaper

I always use Repsol and 90% of the time the staff come to do it.
I think it’s because they are stunned when I converse with them in my funny (to them) llanito/Andalucian accent.

All good - doing a round robin of Emmaus shops in the area then west along the river towards Villeneuve sur Lot, stopping at the places you suggested. Overnight tonight at a lovely free Aire in the village of Capdenac Le Haut near Figeac.

We might see you then.
We are planning Luzech - Albas - Prayssac - puy l eveque.

Filled in Italy the other day. It was a 'no self service ' garage so the attendant had to do it. He came across to us and in perfect English asked ' have you switched everything off inside?'. To top it off I noticed a hose pipe and a water tap with thread. I asked if it was drinking water and he said 'yes...help yourself'. They even had free air for the tyres!!! Wish there were more garages like this

Total service stations in France have been refusing to fill motorhomes for a least the least the last18 months .

We filled up with autogas at a total garage in France two weeks ago €. 61 no problem. 😎

Never been refused, but had one who wouldn't turn the pump On, he couldn't be bothered to come out the kiosk just talking over the intercom, 😉 I didn't understand just keep pushing the button, as the queue got longer he turned it On. 😜🤣 Bob.

The only problem I've had in France ,once the cashier lady had to come and have a look, that's with an external fill point but she was OK with it.
