Well we're off tonight for our first 4 nights in the van
Think we've got everything sorted that we need:D

But we are cheating a bit  were opening the static caravan up so our first trip out will be to North Wales to the caravan

Had to change our plans due to a hospital operation very soon and I won't be able to drive for a bit.

Planning on visiting Shell island, Trevor, Dinas Dinlle, & a few spots on the Menai Straits to name a few.

Generally just going to chill out relax do lunch maybe take the fishing rods & even catch lunch :reel:

Thanks to all the Funsters who have helped with advice on setting our van up so much appreciated :clap2: this forum helps newbies in lots of ways(y)

John Diane & Charlie (the dog)

Nearly forgot a piccie of our graphics inc Charlie ::bigsmile:

Have. Great time enjoying your motorhome, you probably know already but Shell Island on any Bank Holiday I would give a miss, the rest of the time one of my favourite places. (y)

The idea of M/H's is to be out and about, however you do it.

With the better weather(?) our Motorhomes come into their own, even more than in the winter.

Enjoy your trip!(y):)

it doesn't matter if you keep falling down,:wine: when you get to 60 something its as long as you can get up as well as going in the right direction that counts.:clap2:

Stopped raining about 1pm just in time for us to have dinner at Trefor.
We had the best view eating on our deckchairs (y)

Sorry Chris we are parked up at the side of our static practicing although we did overnight on a friends drive in Anglesey.
Not sure we would like to wild camp have noticed a few new signs stating
"No camper vans No caravans" never seen these before.

Ahh yes, sorry, you did say in OP.
I`m unsure about wilding too, think I`ll book a site for first adventure ! but which one, I can`t decide.
I fancy Porthmadoc / Black rock sands area where I gather there are a number of sites

Learnt a few things this last few days(y)

The toaster works fine on the invertor.

The Eberspacher is not noisy with the new silencer fitted
It actually controls itself (like a combi boiler) & it didn't gas us over night(y) was expecting the carbon monoxide alarm to wake us up:ROFLMAO:

The leisure battery seems to have no problem with recharging off the 140w solar panel up to now.

Not sure about the vehicle battery yet as it goes down to the Amber light on the Sargent controller over night but starts the engine first time(y) think this is down to the fridge.

Will look into a split charge relay shortly.

Must buy a pair of levelling chocks

Must carry a flashlight.

Do not put 4 slices of bacon on the lower table that Charlie can snaffle as he walks past:LOL:

All in all the weather was not brilliant but we had fun no major disasters and the next trip will be so much easier

No bad points (well maybe the bacon or lack of it on our plates)

I found out this week that our Oyster sat dish won`t lock onto a signal if the van is not level so I`m on the look out for some too !
Louis would have snaffled that bacon too !

If you are staying at Valley Crusis Abbey there is a lane across the road from the site, it is a really nice walk.:)
