Had a lovely day trip out in Winnie today. First time we have been able to use her. Went to the seaside. A lovely unspoilt area. Just beach and sea. Our two dogs loved it and enjoyed running around the beach, then back to MH for a meal. She's just right for us. Steve is able to manage in her, so we are really pleased. Sadly, it will be a while before we can use her again as I have just been diagnosed with cancer of the womb ( stage 1 ) which means a hysterectomy at the very least and no lifting for several weeks. However, today was a joyful, calming, relaxing and beautiful day that we both thoroughly enjoyed. (y)

Living the dream.
Hi Cat, so sorry to hear about your health problems, a real shock I would think?
Mrs Badknee is a theatre sister in gynaecology and suggests you might ask for your operation to be done by key hole surgery as most of her patients go home the next day after having it done.
Good luck and best wishes.

Cat so sorry to hear your health problems keep positive and as badknee said try to have keyhole surgery. I've recently had keyhole for gynae problem and the recovery time is a lot shorter.
Surgeon wasnt sure if he could do mine keyhole but he did manage it although he said it was a challenge.
Take care of yourself ...I know your husband is disabled so make sure you have plenty help and support.
So glad you had a good time out in Winnie today

I read your post earlier but didn't reply as I was so upset about your medical news. I've followed your posts about acquiring Winnie and how excited you are about beginning to use her.

Hope all goes well with your operation and you are soon back on the road.

Take care.

This nice day out you've had in your Winnie came just at the right moment. It'll give you strength to carry on, and will help you with your health problem.
I wish you the best, and am sure you'll have plenty of happy days in her very soon.

One of those cases I feel upset about as living so far away I can't help.
The key hole surgery seems a good idea if possible in your case.
Take care

Amicalement

Thank you all so much for your good wishes. Have to say the NHS have reacted really fast. Got the news on Wednesday and went straight off for a chest XRay. Had MRI on Friday and seeing consultant on Tuesday. If the cancer is contained it's an op at Lincoln hospital, otherwise it's Queens in Nottingham and chemo. So please all pray for a few contained rogue cells so we can get it out and over and done with, ready to travel next year.....as often as possible.

I'm not religious as such but hope you only have a few rogue cells and that they can zap them.

Have also followed your posts about getting Winnie, so glad you found her and have had a lovely, memorable day out, hope it's nit too long before you can go again.

As everyone has said, sorry to hear your health news but sounds as if the NHS are going to help sort out your treatment promptly.

We haven't met yet but sending you a big hug!
