Firestick 4 k not re registering

I’m having problems with my Firestick 4K.
Yesterday I set up tv and Firestick and it had a fault, couldn’t load home page.
I tried all the restarting , unplug power for 20s and unplug hdmi but nothing, so I thought I would de register it and re register but it will not connect to amazon.
Any suggestions please

Are you using the mains adaptor or is the Firestick being powered by the TV’s USB?
I used the Firestick when I first got it using only the USB for power. All worked fine. Then I wanted to get the Firestick remote to control the TV’s volume. After this, I had problems connecting (unable to get to the home page). So in desperation, re-read the manual and this time used a mains adapter to power the Firestick whislt setting up and this worked. Once set up, I used just the USB as before to power the Firestick and all has been well since then.

If you can't load the home page and can't connect to Amazon then it sounds like you don't have an Internet connection.

Do you mean it says that it’s already (previously) registered, or that it has re-registered using the QR code……?

Through live chats it’s now working on hot spot from phone but not my Huawei router

I had the same problem and eventually after 30 mins on the phone doing everything they asked, they told me to return it and they will send a replacement.

No, I’m going to go through it later.
I did have to reset it when we got to Jim’s place, Jasmin because it wouldn’t work but phone had very good signal and both on three. ( if this carries on I will be changing the router)

Still not working on Huawei B535 router,( the router speed test is 43mbs so not slow) home page doesn’t full load, select YouTube and it just show youtube icon but just shows buffering icon.

Are you had home on your driveway or in a remote location? It could be that your home WiFi and Huawei are on the same WiFi channel and causing a conflict. Try forgetting all WiFi networks within the Fire stick turn off WiFi encryption (temporarily just for uninterrupted ease of testing) change the Huawei WiFi channel and try reconnecting. If AOK then reinstate the encryption and test again.

No home Wifi, motorhome is home the Huawei is all we have other than hot spot off phone which is how I got the Firestick to re register and it works fine but still not on the Huawei. What is the encryption I should try turning off.

You should be able to turn off/leave open the WiFi SSID no password within the WiFi setting under security or advanced basically you're removing the need for security.

Sounds like it started an update, but did not complete it.

Factory Reset with the remote - you will have to install all your apps again which is a pain.........​

If you hold down the RIGHT and BACK buttons on your remote simultaneously for about 10 seconds, the Fire TV will begin to factory reset itself. If you don’t know which buttons are the RIGHT and BACK buttons, check this diagram. The issue with this solution is that it only works if the Fire TV has got far enough into its boot process to recognize remote commands.
Another way is to power on the device, count out 5 seconds, hold the buttons for 10 seconds, then wait 10 more seconds to see if anything happens. If that doesn’t work, do it again but keep increasing the initial count by 5 seconds with each try. So, on the second attempt, you would count 10 seconds after powering on the Fire TV, hold the remote buttons for 10, then wait for 10. Then, on the third attempt, you would count 15 seconds, hold the buttons for 10, and then wait for 10, etc… What you’re doing is hoping to hold the buttons down during a small window of time that the Fire TV has connected to the remote but has not got itself stuck. Fingers crossed.

The update on the fire stick was done last weekend .
I don’t think that’s the issue because I managed to re register it by hot spotting off my phone, I worked fine like that last night but still will not work from the Huawei B535 router.

Well I’ve just come off the phone with 3 and the assistant said other people have the same problem and the tech team are looking into it, so we will wait and see.

Very weird , I have now left Jasmin CL and back to CS at Wyboston ( this is where I was before) and the internet speed is down from 40 mbps to around 6mbps but the Firestick is working fine again.
A bit annoying as I had factory reset the stick so I have to put all app passwords back in.
Not heard anything from Three regarding my query.
