Driving up from Montpellier today three fire planes flew overhead and dropped down behind a hill. No smoke around so we presumed they were filling up on a lake as we saw them rise up later.
Lots of smoke in hills around Niems.

We were staying in in-laws place in mijas Costa, Spain when Spain won the world cup. After the final whistle you could bear the celebrations. Sadly fireworks were flying around everywhere and set fire to the hillside near us. Very worrying time for some of the villas.
Over the years we've seen evidence of other fires.
