Has any one else had problems with firefox crashing?

I use opera too never IE reluctant chrome user. But lately FF seems to crash.
I have my password on this site and as I do not have my little book of passwords I need to use FF.
When it crashes it loses my password and I have to get in through previous history.
Any clues?

Udate to the latest version of firefix, I have had no problems at all with it. It does like to be regularly updated, and I havead a lot of issues with out of date Frirefox installations.

If you are already up to date try the following:

In Frirefox press the Alt key. A new menu should appear at the top of the window "File Edit View History " etc

Click on Help

Select "Restart with Add Ons Disabled" from the drop down

This should solve your problems.

Thanks everyone for the help. I normallu use Opera, won't use chrome as I value my privacy too much. Will try those tips. It's not just us ,my daughter says FF is crashing all the time for her too so will pass on info.

I use Firefox and I can't remember last time it crashed for me.....
Having said that I am on Linux though :hardhat:

If you are on windows, then resetting the defaults, Disable all plugins/addons etc should cure it. Then slowly re-enable any plugins.

Not sure where firefox is with sandboxing on Windows tbh.

I won't use Chrome because it leaks too much information back to google and pesters you to login in all the time

No problems.. with FF 29.01 running as provided.

ditch the add-ons, at best they slow down browsers, too many will inevitably cause crashes.
