I have just seen a video demonstrating Fire Safety Sticks, a variant of a basic fire extinguisher. Several demonstrations given and it seemed more effective and not as messy than traditional dry powder. It also claims to cover more fire types than other methods of extinguishing fires.

Not Cheap, but look much slimmer and less heavy than decent size traditional extinguishers.

What I cannot find is any detailed expert reviews, the review page with fantastic star numbers relates almost exclusively to how fast and efficient the delivery was, not how good they are.

Do we have any serving or former fire officers who have experience of these devices and if they really are as efficient as advertising claims them to be?

It doesn't say what it uses and if it has any approval rating. I will wait and see, if it is as good as they say it has to be better than the dry powder, which will put out the fire but make a lot of mess as well. I have a fire blanket and that would be my first port of call , if we have a fire.

As seen on John & Mandy's (Gadget Johns) travel vlog no doubt. Yes I saw it too, looked good and had a longer longevity than the 2KG powder extinguisher. Operated more like a signal flair than an extinguisher:giggle:
How much are they? As others have said, are they fire rated/approved yet?
If they are any good, then they will be marketed at the Warners show & NEC accessory stands no doubt.
Will have to wait & see.

Not CE rated for class A fires (ie the interior of your Motorhome), but lots of bluff, persuasion, and marketing nonsense.

The Italian test report that says “will extinguish a class A fire” is laughable.

Mine’s a no ;)

I have one in my rally car in addition to the plumbed in system, have watched one demonstrated on an engine fire & very impressed.
