Fire In Pego

It started at 10.30am in La Vall d’Ebo and spread quickly to affect hundreds of hectares of mountain land. By midday it was approaching the nearby village of Pego where the Local Police the Guardia Civil evacuated some 50 homes in the areas of Verdales and El Calvari.

We are staying in Moraira beginning of June, hoping for some heat but not that hot. Hoping people of Pego and you are ok.

Happy to say that for the time being the 43c temps. have reduced to a livable 27c. Perhaps July and August will see them return for short periods. Some Fires will crop up from time to time when conditions like this are present. Worth taking care whilst wild camping or staying in remote Aires or Campsites.
