All of Finland’s leading ski resorts are already open with Geilo the first big name in Norway to open (pictured above), last weekend. Hemsedal is due to join it this weekend, with the region’s biggest ski area, Are in Sweden, naming December 18th as their season opening date.

but I had a great ski trip to Levi, Finland and hope to get back there.

The skiing in Finland is great. It is even better after imbibing several of their infused berry drinks

Simon Calder , the travel writer, was on telly earlier talking about EU countries being able, individually, to chose which third countries to let in or not due to Covid

He pointed out Spain, France and Greece are likely in his opinion to let us in but singled out Finland as next to no chance.

Of course this was only his opinion.
