We are now on our 7th winter away with this set of 2 X 125 ah amp Hankook DC31sealed batteries, but gradually over the past few weeks they have been failing to hold charge when on load during the evening's and night. Load is Avtex TV, 3 Usb charger points, minimal led lighting and alde heating running with occasional water pump for toilet flush. They are charged with a 175w factory fitted solar panel with Victron controller and the CBE 16a charger if needed.
We have managed 6 months without using the charger here in Beni for several years.
They are physically in good condition, the charge indicators are still green, but it seems they are croaking.
They were about £90 each when new so all in all fantastic value for money.

The last 5 days were on Solar, the previous 2 days on the CBE charger.

Hey Ho, our hab batteries, one on the van from new in March 2013, the other added a couple of months later and worked all year round since - eventually gave up the ghost on a rally in a field in Northamptonshire so no EHU on the day after we arrived. We contacted the local suspects and drove to a place in Corby to get new ones. We hadn't taken the satnag cos we know the way and would have easily found Corby - but not the street, so we had to borrow someone else's Garmin to find it! Very helpful firm anyway. And honestly, we don't think anyone can complain about hab batteries costing them more or less £200 after 8 years use!
