We have just bought a new FIAT based PVC.:)

We were surprised to see that, although it arrived with expensive alloy wheels, there were no lock nuts provided.(n)

We rang our local FIAT Professional garage and ordered the locking nuts. As our PVC was not yet on the DVLA database we gave them the vehicle VIN, so they could order them. The garage asked if we had 15” or 16” wheels and ordered accordingly.

We collected them today, tried to fit them and guess what, the studs were a different diameter to the originals and wouldn’t fit.

A phone call to the spares department revealed that the correct part numbers had been ordered. When they contacted FIAT Technical they were told “ there are two diameters, order the other one then”.

VIN supplied and still I have to do a 36 mile return journey to collect the replacements because of FIAT Professional non-professional Service.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
We chose alloys a couple of years ago , as an extra too. Ours never came with them on either.
We’ve still got wheels on though. Never thought about anyone ever taking them as they’d have to remove the whole wheel.

Utter criminally incompetents.

I have only ever used a Fiat dealership twice, and on BOTH occasions I had to redo properly or put right things the apprentice chimp had done wrong, and actually do. Things they said they had done but in fact they had not.
They have a 100% atrocious appalling record.

What really scares me is that I am a competent vehicle technician.
People who are not, trust these cowboys to do stuff to their vehicles, to do it right, and not to lie to them and cheat them and endanger their lives.

We all do it , I know because we don't have a lot of choice, but I can remember when no one in uk would have crossed the road to buy a fiat.:(

Drop the oxy and you're closer to the real name for some of them.
Mechanics now called fitters, or in posh garages , technicians. The "fitter" removes the non working part , doesn't try to repair it , takes it to the parts specialist , and he orders the wrong part.
