I used a garage in faro called motorbest last October . They are Mercedes specialists but I imagine they can adapt to any engine manufactuer. My van is over 8mtr and no problems with getting in to their garage
I got the recommendation from another funster on this site and was very happy with their service

There's a commercial garage oppisite the aire at pera.We noticed it whilst staying at Mikkis place. Good chance they've worked on a few motorhomes due to it vicinity. Might be worth a look.

Had a problem with engine management light when van was new a couple of years ago Fiat Assist took us to a Fiat professional dealer in Faro called

“MS Car”

E.N. 125 – KM 98,6 – SITIO DO ARNEIRO – APARTADO 325

We didn’t have to pay but obviously main dealer and will be main dealer prices, mostly car repairs although a few motorhomes there too.

Called at Fiat faro they couldn’t even look at the problem for 9 days. Called Iveco also at Faro they don’t touch fiats.
Received a recommendation re Carlos Auto at Bouliqueme Algarve fitted us in within 24hrs job done slight oil leak on gearbox new gasket fitted drained and refilled really pleased with what we were charged would have cost much more at fiat.
Excellent service also a bonus he speaks excellent English. All this because of a incompetent mechanic in the u.k who hadn’t put the gasket back correctly after checking the gearbox oil. We would highly recommend Carlos.

I'm sorry, I've just had my campervan serviced by Mscar in Faro. Do not go there. If incompetence had a rating I'd give them five stars
