Does the oil level display ( 5 circles ) come on whenever the ignition is turned on. Just noticed on mine it only comes on periodically. I tried it this morning 5 times and it did not show any of the circles just the trip distance. The oil level on the dipstick is just below the max mark.

After reading your post I checked my Fiat Euro 6 as it sits just outside my front door and the 5 circles came on the first time I turned on the ignition - but after that I tried turning the ignition on and off a few times and starting and stopping the engine a couple of times but the oil circles never showed on the dash again. Hope that helps, I never really noticed that happened before.

On our euro 6 Fiat there are no circle just 5 steps and they don’t come on every time and when they do they hardly stop on long enough to see the levels you have to be pretty quick?

Thanks for your replies. It looks like its normal to appear periodically. The handbook suggests it comes on when the ignition is turned on.

It will come on when you first start the engine, then again if the engine has been turned off for a while. I think the handbook will tell you how many minutes it has to be off before the cycle starts again.

Also for it to read accurately the van needs to be level so if you have a van with a nose down stance it won't read accurately.
