Update on my continuing saga re- clutch/flywheel replacement,it’s looking as though they have taken the engine out and this is where they are getting they’re 39hours labour from. Other main dealers I have contacted, state no need to take engine out, that’s why the ‘Book’ time states only 12 hours. So the dispute is und er away …… I would appreciate any advise or findings you could add please, thanks in advance.

Being generous ..... .
3 hours engine out
1 hour clutch/flywheel change
3 hours engine back in.
I hour unseen snags.

Where the hell they get 39 hours from is anyone's guess.

Thanks, they still want to charge extra 12 hours labour to fit new actuator in now,so everything out again, am I being ripped of big time or what!

So they took 39 hours yet this time they say 12 hours to basically do the job over again.

My stepdaughter found a garage like this.
Took her Suzuki 4x4 diesel in with a blowing head gasket, it was still running.
Garage did head gasket but couldn't start it.
In the end the engine came out, a rebore, new pistons and rings, a new oil pump ????(still haven't worked that out) and a second gasket set.
A simple job turned into 2 weeks and a £1300 bill and it was a Suzuki dealer.
As I said, it was running when it went in for repair.
