Fiat Ducatto issues (1 Viewer)

Last few days, turned off the hookup to the van, went in and the batteries were flat, now back on hookup. The ony thing that I had left on was the iBoost.
Two 100w solar and 2 110amp leisure batteries.

Also, when I started up the engine the sidelights came on and the switch was off, lights went off when I tok they key out!!!

Thoughts?

When I came back from my last trip my Volvo V70 was doing all sorts of strange things when I started it up - various warning lights on, indicators flashing when not switched on etc. Turned out to be the battery was duff (14 years old). Replaced the battery and everything is back to normal.

Your battery lasted 14 years!! its a miracle !!! never had one last more than 6years and always used good ones

bad earth connection had that on my ducatto if I did not take the live off the main battery it was flat in two days ray xx lol still lol you couldget charged for trying to be funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnny

could be a wire rubbed through the insulation which is a known fault with the light loom under the bonnet

Ah ha! My lights have behaving strangely this evening. I will check this tomorrow morning!

I had all sorts of weird electrical problems with my Ducato, main and leisure batteries were not charging properly along with dash lights flickering and dim headlights. Turned out to be the earth to chassis connection was poor. It needed a good clean up, new bolt and new washers between the cables before it worked properly.
Or, it's a duff battery!

Ah ha! My lights have behaving strangely this evening. I will check this tomorrow morning!

look behind and below the nearside headlight as the wiring passes over a metal bracket, it chafes
