fiat ducato vin numbers (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone I am having trouble with VIN Numbers for my ducato maxi .when i go to a main fiat dealer and give them the vin it comes up as a 2,3 diesel However I know it is a 2.8 There are other numbers on the plate but they say the do not recognize these.I gather from other websites that the numbers 244 cpmac ayc 45 relate to the engine ,but they have no way of recognize these. I have contacted Fiat but it took two weeks for reply and they now want a copy of my reg doc and the dealers i have contacted ? Any help please Rick

How do you know it is a 2.8 and what does the V5 say the engine size is?
