Hi a few months back ,a lady kindly told me our to down load a map for my inbuilt sat nav in a 2015 fiat ducato Motorhome, I have lost the details could some one help please ?
At 83 years young it is a big challenge, thank you. Geoff

I don't think Fiat installed Tom Tom sat nav can be updated, mines 2015 and mapping is 2013.
Yours might be a different make.

I had that very question for my 2015 Ducato and that first problem led me to this site. I came to the conclusion in the end that it had to be done by plugging in a laptop. As the map updates are not free and I already possessed a Garmin with free updates, i decided just to use the garmin and forget about the Connect Tom Tom.
Not much help I am afraid but I will try and find that original thread.

'Here' maps for my Pioneer were £200 to update, required downloading to a computer then transferring by card, so I never bothered for a just few weeks a year and roads don't change that often. Having said that, it was surprising how often we ended up floating across fields, temporarily, on a new one.
Something I fail to understand is how some people get 'Here' data updates for free (and probably paid less for the initial purchase as well).

I upgraded the TomTom map on mine about a year ago. I had to register with tomTom on line then downloaded an updated map onto a (large) memory stick then plug it into the USB slot on the radio - all worked fine and didn't cost me a penny. The system recognised the serial number and that I was entitled to free maps. I can't remember the details of what exactly I did - too much wine has been consumed since then but it was simple enough.

You need to download the Tom Tom drive app onto a laptop, then plug your sat nav into the laptop when it’s finished downloading via a USB cable which you should have,it may ask you to upgrade,( but you don’t need to) if you have any probs give me a shout, I’ll help best I can,,(y)

If you've not discovered it WAZE on your phone is better than any satnav I've tried , unfortunately they don't have motorhome routing but it's great in a car or van
