Fiat ducato on a Laika EcoVIP H4112 ignition key position

After driving 3k miles, I’ve discovered why I get cramp in my right thigh, the ignition key is right where my right knee should be, so I keep my right leg bent outwards to the offside.
I’ve tried all different seat movements to lower the seat tilted it forward, backward, moved the chair back and forwards.
I wonder how hard it would be to convert it to push start.
I have a Ghost immobiliser, so could maybe move the barrel into an upwards direction.
It’s so daft why Fiat don’t do how Saab put the key in the middle to stop key related accidents.
Any ideas before I get the screwdrivers out.
It’s our first MoHo and I absolutely love it.
The 2025 fiat engine pulls like a steam train even when loaded at 4t and I’m driving like I stole it up single track roads at 10pm at night up in France, in Les Blimouses.
Love the whistle of the turbo, the MAD rear air assist, it honestly drives so great.
Just need the ignition barrel moving so I can keep my right leg straight.
I’m 6 foot and 90kg.

I will be interested to see what you find out.

I am 6 foot and the keys dangling from the ignition key are quite annoying. Its difficult to explain but I can wrap them around the ignition key so they sort of rest out of the way on top - but would prefer not too. I have had this issue with various cars over the years and my current car key has nothing attached too it for this reason. I could separate the van key but as the alarm fob and the garage keys are essential prefer to keep them together.

One thing I have considered for other reasons but would help your situation is to fit a lower seat base. These drop the seat 40mm but are quite spendy and may not be practical depending what is installed under the seat.

Another thing worth trying is the steering wheel position, you can move it in and out a little bit, pulling it right out may give you the room you need.

Another thing worth looking into is steering wheel spacers, might enable you to move the seat back further dropping your knees.
