I cannot find any reference in the Handbook to this switch. It is a non latching switch on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. What is it for?
UPDATE:
Thanks everyone, got the answer.....holds the changing up time back for my Auto box. Brilliant.

Also called the Up button and is probably described in the separate handbook for the Comfortmatic. It holds gears a little longer before changing up to the next gear.

Yep, it's what they call the "up" button holds lower gears for longer. It is in the handbook for the Comformatic box.

It's been posted on here before...
If I recall.... Auto gearbox?... Press for hill climbs... Prevents gearbox changing too early...

Tho I may be wrong...
Yes that will be it then. I have a 3.0L automatic. Thanks, that will be useful

Our van is based on the Fiat Ducato but there no mention of the Comfort Matic in the Owners Handbook. I found this supplement on the Fiat website. Despite having instructions much of the Comfort Matic operation is a mystery to me. Mark

That has to be one of the worst depictions of what the button does I've ever seen.
A cog near the front wheel and a clock or hour glass would have been better than that jumble of confusion ?

You should have a separate handbook on the Comformatic, I've got one but it's in German!

Agreed.
Looks for all the world like a weight graphic/symbol above the rear axle and the arrows indicate raise or lower.

Most likely what it was originally and Fiat figured they'd reinvent it for the gearbox.

Thought that was the passenger ejector seat button.

Glad that was not a question in the daily quiz I would have got that wrong.

So Pandas when do you use it?
Every hill?
Just Alpine passes?
Every roundabout?

The Comformatic seems to do a good job descending an Alpine pass but seems pretty witless even when leaving my house up a not very steep hill; maybe 1:10?
Be good to hear how you use it, thanks.

Don’t think I’ve needed to use ours yet and nearly always towing a car trailer.?

Not even thought about it since I posted the question. In fact forgot about it altogether, and we have tackled some steep hills with no issues since then.
