I have a fiat ducato 2.8 2005 and I was wondering if anyone would know would it be possible to change the arms on my wing mirrors for a longer version? As the ones that are fitted at present do not give me a good enough view down the side of the motorhome. I notice on some other motorhomes that the arms are indeed longer that the ones fitted to my motorhome. Also as a very good diy person is this something that I could tackle.

Hope you can help

The mirrors are only held with 3 x 13mm bolts plus a connector for electrics if you have them. Its probably easier to buy some long arm mirrors and swap the complete thing over.

6 years + 5 years in boat before that
Last year I had a mirror broken in a car park and the only damage was to the aluminium arms in the corrugated rubber boot. I stripped it all down and took the broken bits to a Fiat dealer for replacement. I then found out that no spares are sold only the complete unit.

300 euros!!!!
