I think they mean a MINI-bus chassis, yes I have seen those but as they were too small for my company use, I did not take much notice? 🤔

Edit. As it's a left hooker, anything is possible 'over the water' 😄

I’ve seen many references on this very forum about ‘light’ and ‘heavy’ chassis but never seen anyone refer to a ‘bus’ chassis (of any variety) so was curious to understand if there was such a thing or if it was synonymous with the ‘heavy’ chassis.

We did have a Fiat X244 (pre 2006) van and, on looking at certain spares places on Fleabay, they gave alternatives
that included 'Bus' as an alternative.

No responses from our regular chassis/up-plating experts?

From my work experience I have seen 'bus version' on almost all vans of all sizes. There is even a Scudo bus and in no way is there a real bus based on Scudo :-) I've come to the conclusion that bus means usually a van with windows all round. Naturally a Dethleffs Advantage isn't a windowed van, but as the ad (?) says 'being the 3.8 ton motorhome' most likely the person has somehow come to a conclusion it's some kind of very special chassis.

The Ducato chassis's (or how should it be spelled..) can be tricky to understand, must admit that I understood nothing about them before getting the first on my own. Just recently have I understood that there can be a L1H1 Maxi as well as L4H3 that's not Maxi, and a Maxi can be built for 4ton but be reg'd as 3.5ton and so on.

Might that be a low profile chassis for converters to build access minibuses on them? Like Ronhill / bluebird conversions etc.
