Delivered April 2021 😃. Still new, still learning. Only a couple of mishaps so far....
My sat nav keeps on defaulting from miles to kilometres. I change it on every journey but it always defaults back. I can’t see a default menu so not sure how to cure it.

Any ideas anyone?

Does it need a software update? I was having problems with my Xzent until I got all the systems up to date. 🤷‍♂️

Maybe. Can I do an update from the system or is it a dealer issue?

When the dealer fitted ours, they put a USB cable dangling down under the unit. (Want a photo?)

I had to register on the website in the instruction manual, which allowed me to download the latest software. This needs to be done via a PC as you need to then transfer it onto a USB memory stick.

Then I just follow the instructions in the manual, and plug the stick into the USB dangling below the unit.

Sounds complicated, but after following the instructions first time, it‘s quite simple.

Only downside is after any update it reverts to factory settings….in German. However, it’s easy enough to set up in English and reset all the DAB / FM radio settings. Any routes in the satnav are retained. (y)

Not sure what head unit you’ve got, but most need some sort of updating from time to time.

Just ran an update, seemed to do maps only, but on the road again on Monday so will see if that fixes it.

The SD card on the top of the head unit is for the maps, the USB is for the software updates……well it is on ours. (y)

Here’s mine…….SD card for maps is on the top left, USB plug in for software updates dangling down……sorry about the dust.

Doesn’t look like the standard Fiat head unit so features and operating system are probably different.

Question for you guys.

I’m collecting a 2020 Swift Charisma 675 in August and the radio is the box standard ducato version now……..

My current van soon to be old again 2009 Ducato based where I’ve changed the box standard radio to the Pioneer Z810-DAB-C.

Now I’m trying to find out in advance is I can install this Pioneer into the new van, I have the steering wheel control unit as well ready.

Any ideas?

Well - taken van back to Fiat. They did an update on the software but it did not fix the fault. They are going to change the whole unit now - if and when one can get delivered from italy 🤔

We picked up our new van last week and it has exactly the same issue so maybe there is a software/firmware problem unless they think they just have a whole bad batch with a hardware fault. Please can you keep me posted on your progress?

Also, do you have any idea how to zoom out on the Fiat satnav and keep the setting as ours always auto zooms right in regardless of how you alter it? All in all I think the sat nav is pretty rubbish by today’s standards. Thank heavens it has Apple car play.

I’ve given up on the standard one, always use iMaps on Car Play.

We have recently taken ownership of an Adria Twin 640 SLB. Our sat nav (part of the integrated "Head Unit") also reverts to kilometres after every journey. Not only that, but if you change the so-called default to miles and yards, then the dimensions of the vehicle are also changed to yards! Who on earth ever describes the length of a vehicle in yards? This "bug" seems to have been around for a long time. The Head Unit in our Adria is the standard Fiat Ducato van version, although the manuals we were given were for an Xzent 270, designed for a motorhome. Adria say we have the wrong manuals and the right head unit. Anyone know different? As far as I am concerned, the standard Fiat Ducato van version is not fit for purpose in a motorhome - it doesn't even display time and date. We have now resorted to using our Garmin Camper 770, which is just brilliant.

Sounds like you have the same unit as mine, and the same issue.

I use Maps on Apple CarPlay.

Enjoy your new van 😀.

Did you get the wrong manuals too? I don't understand how we got manuals for a totally different head unit, if Adria say they don't supply the Xzent.

Apart from the head unit, we think the actual van is terrific.

I have the same problem on our new Hymer 540 Free Blue Evolution, with it reverting to Km/hr after setting the wizard to MPH.

Have asked the local Fiat dealer to see if it can be fixed, but after reading this I have my doubts.....

Someone has posted to the Adria Twin Facebook page, I’m not a member, that there is a dealer software fix. It took an hour and has sorted the km / miles issue.

I won’t be able to get to a dealer easily so if anyone else has the opportunity confirmation of the fix would be appreciated and I’ll add it to the list of things for the dealer to fix when it goes back for its hab check.

Good news that there is a fix Andy, thanks for posting, now all we have to do is find out what needs to be done.

Ours is booked in for the fix on the 19th so I will report how it goes.

It didn't go well. They don't know what to do with it as they say there is no software update and are talking about changing the radio head. The van has stayed with them and they are waiting for First to advise.

Not good. If anyone is on the Adria Twin Facebook group they may be able to get more info from the person who did the post on a fix. I don’t do Facebook, never will 😀.

Same here, we booked ours in for the latest software update yesterday but although we noticed changes, the problem of the speed reverting to km/hr is still there. I contacted the local Fiat dealer and they say (like you) that they would now like the van in for a few days. That's not very convenient.

Guess it needs another software patch. I had a similar issue with a yacht Garmin satnav but they were easy to communicate with and they fixed that issue in the next software update.

It would be good to communicate direct with Fiat.

Let us know how you get on with your local dealer. Once we know what the fix is then we can relay it to our dealers.

Thanks,
John

They still have the van (tomorrow will be 3 days) and Fiat have requested they give the satnav issue it’s own repair ticket so they seem to be taking an interest. I will update further when I know more

Get a smart phone and use Google/Apple maps etc, they along with the other routing apps are up to date including the traffic so who uses a SatNav, I have given using mine.

Get what you say Ian Bosman , we are having to do that. Thing is I have bought a new van and the standard kit does not work. I simply want Fiat to fix it. Not too much to ask.

I feel the same, it should at least work as designed.
