Probably been asked before, but can anyone tell me what category of Thatcham the above would be? I think it's 2? Or do I need to provide more information? It's also a German import, but would that make any difference? Thanks in advance.

If you are referring to the imobliser it's the same as any Fiat class 2.
The alarm will not be Thatcham approved.

Correction, that's not all I wanted to know!
Any recommendations for getting a Thatcham Category 1 alarm/immobiliser?

Just a that hem approved alarm will bring it up to cat 1 but insurance may insist on a tracker.

When I phoned Comfort after phoning 4 other insurers and rhyming off all the Thatcham approved bit and bobs, all they wanted to know is that it have a Tracker. I told them about the wheel and steering locks the Vanbitz Strikeback alarm, broke pedal clamp et al. All they said was it was good but it was for ,y own peace of m8nd and would not effect the premium. They were the best value of all the ones I called.
