Fiat Ducato 2.2 diesel battery (1 Viewer)

I have a 2010 Burstner Ixeo motorhome on a Fiat Ducato . As I have not used it during the winter the battery is on the way out and will not start the engine. I have bought a new battery but have been advised not to attempt to fit it myself. Can anyone please advise me if this is true and what damage could be done.Thank you

If u'r van looks like mine at front then no problem.
Its heavy and a bit awkward leaning over the swivel seat or in through the passenger door.
Keep the earth lead well out of the way until the positive side is connected.
