Recently on out and about live forum, I read about Fiat sending the wrong handbook ( Euro 5 ) out with some Euro 6 Ducatos and the wrong spec of engine oil is being specified.
The correct oil is Selena WR Forward
SAE 0W-30 ACEA C2
Spec 9.55535-DS1

Not SAE 5W-30

I've been to our local Fiat this morning for a litre of oil and they sold me the SAE 5W-30 and I told them that it was the wrong oil and after a wait they came back with the correct 0W-30 oil.

They said that it depended on which chart they looked at which oil they gave over the counter.

John.

my manual for my 2016 build 150hp Euro6 2.3L motor says
SAE 0W-30 ACEA C2 Selena WR Forward
Spec 9.55535-DS1

i popped into my Fiat professional dealer this morning to pick up a litre for spare for our journey to France and they tried to sell me SAE 5W-30 - and didn’t know about the 0W-30 spec - and had none in stock or on their order manifest -
I’ve asked them to call Fiat on Monday and confirm the correct oil spec and get me the right oil.....

My Fiat Professional dealer (imperial Commercials - by the Southern General) called back this morning and confirmed 0W-30 was indeed the correct spec oil and they would get some for me from their sister workshop as they had none in stock - and they said they had alerted their own workshop to the change in oil spec...

a bit worrying !
