We pick up our new Carthago in a few days time and am considering breakdown cover. Do I need it when Fiat provide their Assist package? I'm wondering if they would come out to change a wheel in the event of a puncture (possibly more common than any mechanical breakdown). Has anyone any experience of this?

May have answered my own question.

"In the case of unforeseen events (fault, accident, puncture of one or more tyres, flat battery, etc.), the call centre puts you in touch with Fiat Camper Assistance,"
so seems they would do punctures.

We used Fiat Camper Assistance when we had a blowout on our van but that was in 2010 they sent out the RAC who changed the wheel with our spare.
