Sounds like a bit of a con to me how come if you live in France it covers you for loads of countries incl the uk but for uk customers its uk only!!!!!!! Also sounds a bit unfair that there are only 15 days to take it out so if you are in the first years warranty and start to realise mechanically its a bit of a lemon its often too late to take out the extra cover. All academic for us as ours is 5 1/2 years old and a Ford!!!!

I am only passing on information I found that a lot of people do not know exists, I think you will find the warranty IS valid throughout Europe or so I was told when extending mine, also you get the Fiat recovery included.

Its their game their rules, if people don't like it they can go elsewhere!

That is the registration process MUST be done at a Fiat Professional dealer in UK (y) NOT where the warranty is covered which is all of Europe.

Why then does it not mention Spain,Portugal and Germany and others???

Ah I see now I was only reading your first link which was for MOPAR.
It would have been helpful if you had posted both at the start???

Did your supplying dealer tell you about the extended warranty, the time limit, and where to go to obtain it? Without being asked?

I would be curious to know if Funsters were given helpful information about the extended warranty by the supplying dealer (even if there was nothing in it financially for the dealer).

I was given no details at all, I only found out THROUGH THIS FORUM, SO THANKS (y)

Thats going on the basis that a Fiat Professional dealership will either want to undertake the work or have commercial ramps/ big enough doors to get the vehicle in. You would be far better speaking directly to a main dealer about extended warranties.

Thats where I was quoting from!!! Maybe its a poor translation?

My experience of Fiat Professional in Portugal was pretty grim and I was only trying to get the towing wiring fixed.
We tried two different garages neither were much help and wasted my time.
Ended up sorting out myself as they couldn’t even find the problem a blown fuse in the digital control box.?
