If its' auto, it will have to be a trailer - having said that, smart trailers are getting very easily available and they are similar size.

Towing a fiat auto

Hi Tofo

I have towed my Fiat panda 09 auto since new some 7000 miles ago. I understand that the gearbox fitted to the 500 is the same as the Panda and is a dsg semi auto.

This auto box is a conventional gearbox which is fitted with an automatic clutch. It is NOT the same as an automatic gearbox. I've had no problems with mine.

The only thing to be mindful of is that before towing, you must ensure you engage neutral with the engine running and brake depressed to avoid selecting a false neutral. Don't forget to unlock the steering and leave the ignition key on the first position to ensure that the steering is unlocked.

Regards
