I don't think the rafter needs a fitting kit, mine hooks on parts already on the awning.

Think it depends on the length of the awning. May not be with the shorter ones......

Can confirm rafter doesn't come with 3m Fiamma awning but have added one & makes a difference & a lot less flapping :) Now just need a tube with end caps to store it (plus other long skinny items like flag pole etc)safely in our garage - looked at artists tubes but not long enough. The kind plumbers have on their vans for carrying pipes would do it but a bit too heavy duty & way too expensive - anyone have any ideas?

B&Q or plumbers merchants etc buy a length of plastic downpipe and a pair of caps

We just chuck it in the locker together with the winding handle. Lays flat against the back so didn't really need anything to cover it. Might ask Mrs Deluxe to knit a cover for it, but then again like the basic good things in life, like breathing........... so perhaps not(y)

Always learning
I recently purchased a rafter for our Fiamma awning, it came with 2 fixing brackets so it can be mounted/stored somewhere, i used some double sided sticky backed tape and stuck them on outer wall of the bathroom - as its directly behind the drivers seat - it sits there perfectly (its a good job really as there is nowhere else to fit it)

Since 2011 therefore I'm not a newbie anymore
I store mine at the back of the garage with stick on Velcro . It comes in 1.5" wide and just stuck the sticky side ( the hooks) to the wall and then hold the rafter with the hook Velcro.. Use two sections one at top and one at the bottom of the rafter

Works fine with no damage to the rafter.

Like the idea of fixing rafter with velcro but already have Fiamma & Easy Bed handles plus Fiamma Carrry Bike frame covering the available wall fixing space! Thank you scotty1 looks like a fishing rod tube will be perfect & cheap at under £7 delivered too(y) Bought this one Broken Link Removed
& some of this Velcro strapping http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131280965752?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT so will be able to fix to underside of bed frame that forms roof of garage. Ideal storage for other long, light fragile items too that might get damaged on the garage floor:)Knew some Funster out there would have the answer:D

I'd go to a local carpet shop and ask for cardboard inner tube. Then cut a some rubber bike tubbing for the ends..I wasn't a girl guide for nothing.

If you want to have even more storage under the bed get some cargo nets which you can attach onto hooks etc for storing light but awkward stuff - below are pictures of the garage in previous MH where I used this system, I also used them to keep stuff on shelves and also hold bits and pieces against the sides. The door storage was out of an old suitcase which was very useful!
