Camping Javea is opening 1st July, but seen no mention of non Spanish, did see something a few days ago, with Portugal asking Spain to open the borders to help them with trading, they have so far declined. ? Bob.

Most sailings are already fully booked - and expensive. July might have been fully booked before lockdown though

I thought Spain had indicated they are not opening their borders until July?
Assume too you’re not worried about travel insurance - surely won’t be valid while Foreign Office advice is against foreign travel?

I have a house in Portugal. If the ferry does start running. I've got no issue with staying in my van for 22 hours crossing and driving through Spain to get there. Id sooner be twiddling my thumbs there, doing bugger all than doing bugger all here. Someone needs to get on Dragons den with a teleporter.

Can anyone tell me what happens if you book a tunnel crossing and go on it as reputedly they are still running.

I’ve had this weeks cancelled.
BF have sent me a credit note.
I was going to use it to rebook for June myself as I would like to get to our villa in Spain.
However, I am not sure what is going to happen so will ask for a refund. I know I’m risking the ferries getting booked up, but that’s another maybe.
Plan B is I can get someone in Javea to sort things for me.

From what I understand you run the risk of being picked up by the police. The trains are taking folk to work. Tourism is a no no I believe.

We're expecting to have to stay in Spain this summer, with the borders closed. At the moment we can't travel out of our province. The next phase will probably still have the same travel restrictions.
Just started planning a trip to Galicia, in case travel is allowed July/August/September.

They are French so follow French sd requirements. Can ony run at 50% capacity I believe so no room to fit you on.

We’ve shelved our plans to go to France and Spain this year. We will support the UK economy by hopefully getting a holiday here, later in the year. We also want to avoid the worry of getting travel insurance and perhaps lying ill in a foreign country’s hospital bed.

Brittany ferries have been allowing you to book from April. Then they cancel and move dates. They have just changed from offering mid May to mid June

There was/is still a warning that ferry could be cancelled for June bookings but I figure land/sea borders will open before air travel. The website only says that bookings up to 15th June are cancelled.
If mine gets cancelled for the 21st I will either go asap after then or reluctantly get to Spain through France.
For once the BBC is full of stories of places opening up again and not the usual doom and gloom, so I'm hoping my gamble pays off.
It's what governments decide as to when I go - not my health, but out of respect for others I will obey the rules......

SPAIN IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO TOURISM........let me know when it re-opens please, I have installed at little cost to me an ANPR camera system...is a simple version that PINGS when a Tourist Vehicle comes within 50 metres of our motorhome.......Spain does not trade in Covid 19, they do not export or import this virus.....so don't bring it in and we won't allow you to take it out.....that's why a Severe Lockdown has been inforce here since March....Google Spains De-escalation plan in stages up to Phase 4.....might answer a few questions....
When you arrive at Eurotunnel, Folkestone (with a booking) someone in a uniforms stops you and tells you to go home.
