Hi. I'm hoping to make my first trip to France. Never booked a motorhome on a ferry. Looking for a crossing that will not cost me the earth. I am a member of the C&CC but no experience of whether this is a benefit when it comes to channel crossing. Any tips, advice or bargains?? Hoping to book in the next few days.

Ferry cheapest but can be hassle and slow.
Tunnel expensive but very quick easy and convenient.
Until last year we always used the Tunnel but since price difference almost doubled we now use ferries.
Depends how long your trip is for a short trip Tunnel probably still wins.
If cost is an issue gotta be ferry check the comparison websites for best deals Dover Calais.

We are using the tunnel next month but only because we can pay for most of it with Tesco vouchers. We are not usually in a rush and quite like travelling on the ferry.

Always best to shop around of course. If you are a member of Quidco (www.quidco.com) you can get 7% cashback on the ferry price with P and O. They have a voucher code (20VH1) which you can try, this will give you a £20 onboard food voucher if you book by 21st July and travel by 30th September 2015.

Let us know what bargain fare you find!
